Simsbury River Oaks will offer direct access to and from the Farmington River Greenway, more commonly known as the Rails-to-Trails.

Designed by Towers/Golde, a landscape architectural firm from New Haven, the access will be through a park-like setting on the eastern border of Simsbury River Oaks. It will include an information center, an amphitheater available for public performances, outdoor seating within a multi-use pavilion for general public use, bicycle racks, and rest rooms.
