An in-depth study by noted Connecticut economist Donald Klepper-Smith, chief economist and director of research for DataCore Partners LLC of New Haven, has determined that the Town of Simsbury will receive net new tax revenue of $4.03 million annually by the time Simsbury River Oaks is completed in 2010. This figure takes into account all municipal expenses related to Simsbury River Oaks, including police, fire, parks & recreation, and public works. It also takes into consideration an estimated 54 schoolchildren who may live in Simsbury River Oaks.
