William Cone adds more than 20 years of experience as a landscape architect to the Simsbury River Oaks team. He was instrumental in the design of the park-like access to and from the Farmington River Greenway.

Mr. Cone’s broad experience ranges from residential to multi-family housing, small garden spaces to multi-consultant institutional and educational projects. He has also been responsible for parks, recreation projects and commercial retail developments.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in plant science and landscape design from the University of Connecticut in 1984, a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Massachusetts in 2005, and a master in design studies from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 2006.

He has taught at both the Universities of Connecticut and Massachusetts. Mr. Cone is a member of the American Society of Landscape Engineers and Green Roofs for Healthy Cities.
