One of the more frequently quoted economists in Connecticut; Donald Klepper-Smith has close to 30 years experience. He has served as the corporate economist for the Southern New England Telephone Company, as chief economist and director with Scillia Dowling & Natarelli Advisors, as executive director of the New Haven Regional Date Cooperative, and as president of the Economic Club of Connecticut. He has also served as an economic advisor to the administrations of both former Gov. Lowell P. Weicker Jr. and current Gov. M. Jodi Rell.
Mr. Klepper-Smith earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1978. He is a frequent economics commentator on WTNH, Channel 8, and is a member of the National Association of Business Economists.
He develops both quantitative and qualitative projections based on various market and demographic factors. He specializes in assessing the “microeconomic” impacts of “macroeconomic” events, helping businesses chart out future strategies that best leverage the constantly changing economic landscape. |
